St Peter’s Primary School’s new classrooms officially open

Students at St Peter’s Primary School have the first-rate classrooms and facilities they deserve, thanks to the completion of a $1 million upgrade.

Member for Bentleigh Nick Staikos cut the ribbon on the upgrade today, along with school leaders and staff.

The project – which was a 2018 election commitment – has provided fully upgraded classrooms in the senior school building, as well as a purpose-built art room.

In the past five years, the Andrews Labor Government has invested more than $9 billion in more than 1,600 school upgrades – creating more than 10,000 construction jobs – and is now ahead of schedule in its commitment to open 100 new schools by 2026, with 48 new schools opening between 2019 and 2022.

The Labor Government is building the Education State so that every student can access a great local school and get a quality education.

Quotes attributable to Nick Staikos MP

“As a former St Peter’s student, I have fond memories in the classrooms we have just refurbished, but it was definitely time for an upgrade!”

“These upgraded facilities are part of the school building boom that is happening right across Victoria and will complement the high quality of teaching that already takes place at St Peter’s Primary School.”
