New oval for Coatesville Primary School

Coatesville Primary School’s oval will be getting a huge upgrade, thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.

Member for Bentleigh Nick Staikos announced the $363,000 upgrade today.

The Labor Government is working to strengthen community pride in schools and build the Education State so that every Victorian student gets the opportunity for a great education and every community has access to a great school.

The project is part of a $3.8 billion investment by the Government to improve classrooms, upgrade facilities and build new schools.

The school building boom has delivered more than 1,300 school upgrades and 70 new school projects across the state, supporting more than 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.

“This much needed upgrade is about more than giving Coatesville Primary School students a new sports oval – it’s about helping build community pride in a great local school.”

“The current oval has an uneven surface, is muddy in the winter and dusty in the summer. We are fixing it.”
