New Bayside SDS buildings officially open

The amazing children of Bayside Special Developmental School in Moorabbin finally have the school facilities they deserve.

Premier Daniel Andrews and Member for Bentleigh Nick Staikos today visited the school to open its $11.6 million upgrade, which includes a new learning precinct, outdoor break out spaces, music rooms, a sensory garden and an accessible community playground.

The Premier also announced $20,000 in funding towards additional play equipment for the school through the School Pride and Sports Fund, as well as $23,100 in maintenance funding to repave the carpark.

Since 2015, the Andrews Labor Government has invested more than $6.1 billion to deliver new primary and secondary schools, and upgrade more than 1,400 existing ones.

The Labor Government is building the Education State so that every student can access a great local school and a quality education.
