Upcoming works at Southland Station
As the Andrews Labor Government continues to upgrade and expand Melbourne’s public transport system, night works will be taking place on the Frankston rail corridor for construction of the new Southland Station.
Works will include the installation of coping stones and platform screens on the city-bound (west) platform, the installation of new overhead wiring, and the removal of redundant overhead structures.
There will be no road closures however traffic management will be in place at the Park Road and Highett Road intersections to facilitate traffic movement and access to the site. To minimise construction impacts, the Metro team and contractors will aim to reduce excessive noise and minimise disturbance to residents.
All activities will occur between 8pm on Friday 7 April and 4am on Monday 10 April.
