New inclusive playground as part of Bayside SDS rebuild

The Andrews Labor Government’s $11.5 million total rebuild of Bayside Special Developmental School will include a new inclusive playground, Member for Bentleigh Nick Staikos announced today.

Visiting the school this morning during demolition works to make way for the rebuild, Mr Staikos announced $115,000 would be invested in the playground, which will be accessed by both the school and broader Moorabbin community. The playground will include a liberty swing for kids in wheelchairs, a mega double tower, basket swing, multi spinner, spinner bowl, in-ground trampoline and drinking fountain.

The first stage of the rebuild opens in 2019, with the final stage complete in early 2020.
