Huge funding boost for Valkstone Primary School

Students at Valkstone Primary School will benefit from a new upgrade, thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.

The $3,720,000 investment, delivered as part of the Victorian Budget 2017/18, will go towards making sure local kids get the best start in life.

Following planning funding in last year’s Budget, the school has been working with their architect to plan Stage Two of their upgrade. Stage One is nearing completion.

This new funding allows construction to start, with new classrooms planned as well as refurbishments, new staff rooms and support facilities.

The Labor Government is building and upgrading a record number of schools to make sure every child has every chance to succeed.

Valkstone Primary School is one of a number of schools in the Bentleigh electorate to receive funding for upgrades since the election of the Andrews Government, including McKinnon Secondary College, Bentleigh Secondary College and Tucker Road Bentleigh Primary School.
