Funding for more shade at Southern Autistic School

Southern Autistic School will receive $62,000 for some much needed shade, thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.

The new shade sails will go between the new portables, which were placed at the school at the start of 2018 to cater for growth.

Principal Bruce McPhate made the request to Member for Bentleigh Nick Staikos.

Quotes attributable to Nick Staikos MP:

“I am pleased to have been able to secure funding for new shade sails from the Andrews Labor Government, which will greatly enhance the use of outdoor spaces at Southern Autistic School and protect students from harmful UV rays.”

“And soon, we will be appointing an architect to redesign the school so that kids have the best possible facilities.”
