BETTER BUS ACCESS FOR BENTLEIGH

The Andrews Labor Government is extending bus route 823 to make it easier for seniors to catch the bus.

Member for Bentleigh Nick Staikos announced the move today, which will extend the route to Thomas Street.

The new path for route 823 will provide residents of Classic Residences Retirement Village a bus stop within 200 metres, with the closest stop currently located 450-500 metres away.

The route provides vital links to Southland Shopping Centre, and Moorabbin and North Brighton train stations.

The Labor Government has committed more than $100 million to deliver more buses, more often across Victoria.

The changes to route 823 will be introduced in late October, with further information available at ptv.vic.gov.au in the coming months.
