A performing arts centre for East Bentleigh Primary School
Students at East Bentleigh Primary School will soon have a new performing arts centre, thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.
Minister for Education James Merlino and Member for Bentleigh Nick Staikos today announced the primary school will receive $5 million in the Victorian Budget 2018/19 for an exciting new upgrade.
The funding will see the construction of a brand new performing arts centre, including a theatre, and rehearsal and recording spaces.
The Labor Government is building the Education State so every Victorian student can get a great education and every community has access to a great local school.
This includes an unprecedented $2.8 billion investment to improve classrooms, upgrade facilities and build new schools across the state.
This school building boom has delivered more than 1,200 school upgrades and 64 new school projects across the state, supporting more than 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.
We have now invested more than $2.8 billion to improve classrooms, upgrade facilities and build new schools across the state.
This contrasts with the Liberals and Nationals who let schools crumble and decay, while slashing $1 billion from the education budget.
