McKinnon Secondary College’s new campus
The Andrews Labor Government is building McKinnon Secondary College’s second campus.
McKinnon Secondary College is a large school that is getting bigger. It has around 2200 students and enrolled 420 year seven students in 2019 drawn from a relatively small school zone. This is why a second campus is needed.
The Government provided $4.1 million in the 2018 State Budget to plan and design the new campus. During the 2018 state election campaign, the Andrews Labor Government made a commitment of $70 million to build the campus.
The new campus will be a state of the art vertical school that will increase McKinnon Secondary College’s capacity, allowing between 650 and 1,100 extra students.
The campus is being designed by K2LD Architects and will create around 200 construction jobs.
